  1. Option to upload a picture for contacts

    Some contacts do not have a Twitter or Gravatar account. It would be nice to be able to upload a picture for contacts as well.

    I’m happy to say you can now put a face to the name – we’re automatically pulling photos from the social media profiles you provide for your contacts (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Skype).

  2. allow a "parent" company to connect with multiple sub-companies/sites

    If you are pursuing a national account or even a smaller company with regional locations it would be beneficial to sync the activity of all sites to the parent. This creates single points of contact within your own company for account ownership and communication.

  3. Filter Contacts via custom field, location, title, state, etc.

    It would be nice to be able to filter your contacts by the custom field values. For example, if I created a custom field that contains a list of values, it would be nice to be able to filter by one of those values.

  6. Merging contacts

    When importing from different sources I find I have multiple entries for the same contacts. I would like to have a possibility to merge contacts in Base

  7. Sync with Google Contacts

    Some sort of ability to sync my Google Apps contacts with my Base contacts (i.e. something more dynamic than an import). That way, I can change some information (such as a phone number) in Google Apps, and it will automagically be updated in Base.

    At a later stage, two-way sync might also be useful.

  8. Associate Contact note with deal

    Need Ability to have a note created with contact associate with and deal and appear in deal. Currently you have to duplicate the note if you want to see every interaction with everyone involved under the deal.

  9. Should emphasize the customer name rather than the title

    You can see in this screenshot (https://img.skitch.com/20110710-jacdqt5i32125trty1eckqu9pn.png) that the view is really monotonous because we're essentially selling the same kind of deals ("Boost Campaign") to multiple partners. Since it's a Sales/CRM tool, it would make sense UI-wise to make the client name (black out here for privacy reasons) larger and in color rather than the name of the sale. Would be easier to track that way (since I'm always looking for the name of the client rather than some artificial name for the sale).

  11. Make any field a "standard" field so it shows up whenever you fill out a contact card.

    It would be nice to be able to make a custom field "standard" on the contact card when you are adding a new contact. Then it will always appear right when you add a new contact.

  12. Contact sync with Google contact group and not entire contact list

    Its great that Base can sync with my Google contacts. However with my work contacts, I have my personal contacts listed too. It would be great that instead of syncing with the My Contacts, Base only syncs with the Base CRM Group.

    For users who are interested in syncing contacts, can just add contacts from the My Contacts group to the Base CRM group. That way there is one shared contact list shared throughout the organizations users.

  13. Inherit Company information for the Contact

    Hi, I typically enter new contact information by initially entering the Company information, such as name and address, and then I enter the contact(s) within that company.

    It would be really helpful if, having entered the company details, when I enter the contact(s) the system inherits the common information, such as the address. This would save having to re-enter the address every single time.

    There should be a facility to over write the inherited information but having these fields completed automatically would be a real help.

  14. Add / import a contact by LinkedIn url

    When adding a new contact, I could simply give the LinkedIn URL and Base could extract all the basic field information from that, automatically.

    Now it works the other way round: I type in the name etc. and finally add a custom field s.a. LinkedIn link.

    Even things s.a. company can probably be extracted via the LinkedIn API (or am I just guessing?).

    If you don’t mind, I think we can consider this completed by virtue of the Base Contact Clipper.
    The automatic information suggestions you mention in the comment are a slightly different idea, and something we’re also looking at.

  15. Ability to Relate Companies and Individuals

    It would be nice to first create a company, then associate multiple individual employees with the ability to make some private and share some with the organization. You don't want some employees having the number to the CEO of another for instance.

    Bug: Also I created a Do not call field in custom fields and when I select private it automatically selects do not call. My idea of private means not shared with the company, not do not call.

  16. Private contacts - bulk actions

    It appears that the only way for someone to change a contact from shared with everyone to not shared is one by one in the contact card. It would be better if it were able to be done in a bulk mode - by tag for example

    I would like to have the ability to see the tags I choose in the contact list. Tags such as "To Contact", "To Meet", etc.

  19. Make it possible to filter contacts with an email address

    Currently, a user can filter contacts who have a telephone number (called 'With phone number' under 'Refine results'). It would be great to do the same with e-mail addresses, so you can have a list of all contacts with an e-mail address.

  20. Show the companies only

    In the contacts page now the companies and persons are both displayed as a standard view. Idea ia to have the option to have either companies or persons only as the standard view.

    Filtering by card type (Company or Person) lets you narrow the list to companies only. The filters are saved locally in your browser, so the list is kept that way until you change them.
