is it possible to add a follow up action field for all contacts. this would eliminate the extra step of adding a task.535 votes
We’ve got some great news here. We just released our Communication Smart List which will help with this :)
This will allow you to pull in “last touch” fields that will let you see the last time you sent the Contact an email or the last time you may have called them. From there, you can sort on the greatest amount of time between communication between you and the Contact and see who you need to reach out to first! We have several stages to our sales process and many of those stages require emails to be sent, or phone calls to be made. (We always email testimonials to every new lead, we always confirm each meeting, we always review the website before our face-to-face meeting).
It would be really great if we didn't have to add the same ol' tasks manually for every new deal.

You can create Automated Actions to streamline your workflow in Base. Are their tasks you would like to create every time you add a contact? Do you want to assign new tasks to your team when a deal moves stages? With Automated Actions this is possible. Please remember Automated Actions is a premium feature
please add a calender function where once can see all tasks associated with all (or some select) deals.
Please make additional contact field for 'notes' and other, this would alow business specific information, or important updates/notes to be associated with contact list

When in "tasks" on the smartphone you should make an option to click-to-call right from there. Currently, you have to go back to "contacts" to get it done.18 votes
When I put a task for a deal I need to choose specific time if I want to show this task on my Google Calendar. I would like to put it on a specific day, but not a specific time. A normal "any-time the day" task.15 votes

Tasks are shown as all, today, tomorrow, this week. It would be a good idea to be able to show overdue tasks highlighted along with an additional filter tab6 votes
Just moving over from do.com since they're moving to a fee-based model. The most useful feature of do.com was that the list view of Deals allowed you to quickly see 'next steps' for each deal, which basically was just the next upcoming task for each deal, and if one didn't exist, you could easily click and add a task for the deal quickly.
That feature was key to actually making it useful to identify next steps for a large number of deals. Would love to see that functionality added to base. Thanks!
A smart list filter that shows leads/contacts that have no action assigned to them. Many leads/contacts have slipped through the cracks because I haven't had a next task assigned to them and they sat stagnant.3 votes

It would be great to have Base tasks appear in the today screen of the new Apple OS X Yosemite and iOS 8.1 so that you can manage Base tasks with tasks from other apps - all from the one place rather then switching between multiple systems.3 votes

You can integrate iOS and OS X calendar with Base by Integrating Base with Google Cal (support.futuresimple.com/customer/portal/articles/659966), and then add the relevant Google Account to Internet Accounts in OS X or iOS.

Ability/function to add the same task(s) to multiple deals, contacts and leads at the same time. It's similar to the existing function of tagging deals, contacts and leads at the same time.3 votes

So when you create a Task from within a Lead the contact info needs to be available inside of the Task on the Android/Iphone App so that when you are reviewing your task you can make a call from within the Task list.1 vote

In the Android app, you can long-press on a task to see a menu that lets you jump directly to the contact (or deal, or lead).
You can also tap on a task in the iOS app to do the same thing.

Setup strings of tasks. For example if you get a new client on board there are a series of tasks that occur. It would be great if you could set up a 'string' of tasks so they automatically populate when you get a new client on board.
For example, welcome call to client, send client new info pack, process invoice, setup on payment spreadsheet etc.
These would obviously need to be set individually but there are definitely strings of tasks that occur all the time and this would save having to create separate tasks all the time.1 vote
