How can we improve Sell?

  1. automatically add sets of custom fields and tasks based on a tag

    Our sales team's workflow changes quite a bit depending on what type of product/service the client is interested in.

    It would be really helpful for our sales reps if adding a tag to a record could automatically add a set of tasks to a deal/contact as well as a set of customized fields to be filled in.

  2. Add an ability to open Base contact or lead on incoming call Android

    Base currently shows incoming call overlay for all incoming calls from Leads and contacts within CRM
    But it lacks information. So we need an ability to open this contact/lead in BASE directly from incoming call screen.

    You should consider, that Leads are not present in my phone address book, and I cant open them from default android caller screen.

    For example, someone called you, asked few questions about product, and thats all...
    At this stage it is a Lead. I dont want to add it to my android address book(or google apps or office365), but in couple of hours this…

  3. Base gApps Widget: Create complete contact from email signature info

    The base widget within google apps is a great feature. It would be outstanding to have the widget grab a contact's full info from their email signature and creates a complete contact with Name, Company, Title, Email and Phone. As I imagine it: I would click add> get a preview of the information about to be added to make sure it is correct, and I can edit anything if needed> then I confirm the new contact and voila!

  4. Print Reports Showing Deal Listing with contact and notes associated in PDF?

    I still don't see an easy way to print the deal list with detail associated. There needs to be an easy PDF export function, so we can print a nice report to write on - sometime paper is easier to work with! Leads need to be the same!

  5. Basic formatting for notes

    Currently there is no formatting option at all for notes. It would be great to have at least some super-basic formatting options like bold, italic, bullet points...

    Our specific use-case is that during a meeting we use a collaboratively editable document for notes (so everybody sees the notes in real-time). We'd like to later add these notes to Base (to the deal, lead or contact). However using a Word document for this is bulky, not to mention that such notes get outdated so I'd like to handle them in the time line, like with notes. So it would be great…

  6. Single email for the company

    It would be very nice if Base was supporting the possibility to leverage "shared" email address like 'contact@mycompany.com'. Indeed, why should the prospects and customers even bother about figure out the org chart of our company? It's much more straightforward to keep everything under the same address, possibly changing the sender name (cosmetic) but keeping the same address.

    From a Base viewpoint, this just means that Base can behave like a collaborative shared mailbox.

    Some of the competitors of Base, like Relenta.com, are supporting this setup. We would love to see this in Base as well.

    Allow me to pick from a list of countries that I want to use. A majority of users are single country, and there should be a default.

  8. Allow "Lead Sources" Category to Convert to CONTACTS

    This could be considered a suggestion for either the Reporting side or the Leads side.

    Always found it a bit odd that "Lead Sources" do not convert with Contacts. Still seems like useful information when looking to better understand how a person moved from Lead > Customer or Prospect.

    That said, I don't think this is necessary for the DEAL "Source" fields as I personally view those as two distinctly separate types of opportunity drivers. If the Lead Source did flow through into Deals as well, I would keep those distinctly separate.

  10. Add Cases

    I would be great if you could add a "Case" tab (like Leads, etc) so that we could track past Deals that may have an issue that needs to be resolved.

  11. Add BCC to mailto: link on Base Deal Pages

    If I click an email address while on a deal page (e.g. https://app.futuresimple.com/sales/deals/XXXXX) I believe it is safe to assume the email I am sending is about this deal.

    So, if I click Jane Doe's email address in the associated context box at the top right I believe the mailto: link should include the bcc address for this deal as well.

    The mailto which currently looks like this:

    mailto:jane@doe.com

    Would therefore look like this:

    mailto:jane@doe.com?bcc=dropbox@XXXXX.deals.futuresimple.com

    This small HTML change would make the work flow of sending email related to deals much more fluid.

  12. Allow more than one user to have ownership of a Lead/Contact so they can collaborate

    Currently Users can only collaborate with their Manager or an Administrator. When a Lead or Contact is near a border, several BDMs need to have visibility of that person, however since they must below to one or the other the two BDMs cannot currently collaborate on that lead. We need a way for two side-by-side users to see and collaborate on a single lead or contact without being able to see all the contacts in the other region.

  13. Undo Feature/Button

    Ever accidentally clicked the little 'x' on one of your tags? only to wipe out a whole category you used for sorting..?

    Or deleted a Deal not realizing all the notes you associated with it are gone. Some of those note would have been useful to keep.. :(

    An UNDO Button would solve all this !
    An "oh my &^%" I wish I'd read that warning before I pressed "ok" Button. Undo Feature is essential Ctrl+Z with Base already ! :)

  14. Need a better text editor for notes and the like

    The current web editor is extremely basic, to say the least.

    Would be good to have at least a RTF editor.

  15. Time zone information

    When I pull up a contact in order to make a call, it would be nice to know what time it is in their timezone. I live on the east coast. I'm up before most of my domestic clients, who are spread across the country.

    If you could tell me what time it is in their timezone, that would help me adjust my calls to increase contact rate.

  16. smart list

    Allow the option to link "communication" with a Smart List....so when you pull a report and notice that x number of prospects haven't opened your email, you can click a checkbox next to those prospects which will give the option to email them (like you can do in a lead list).
    Currently you have to write down their names and individually search for them - it's an unnecessary extra step.

    Hello, let me know if below solution works for you:
    - go to smart list
    - add “Views of Last Email” column
    - filter that column to see prospects with 0 views
    - select relevant prospects you want to follow up with
    - click email icon
    - mass email them

  17. Generate on-the-go call list

    Have a tab in Base app that can make a very easy to use call list for on-the-go. Help me spend my time in the car more productively and safely. Give me a prioritized list Company & Contact Name of people to call while I travel. Let me just click and be connected. Would be so great for mobile productivity!

  18. When creating a scheduled appointment...auto populate the location as the lead/contact address

    When scheduling appointments...we found that 90% of the time it will occur at the lead or contact address....you have to exit from the appointment screen and copy paste or review the address then go back and type it in....if this was auto populated it would save a few steps....

  19. Conferece call from browser phone

    When on a call, it would be great to be able to conference in someone else. As an example, if you need to get the other decision maker on, you can conference them in, or if you want to tag with someone, you can conference them in.

  20. Duplicating Items (Deals) in Base

    We often create new deals for new years that are essentially identical (one deal for 2016-2017, then create a new one, same details, for 2017-2018). It would be a big time saver to just click "duplicate" and have it copy all the details to the new deal instead of manually re-writing everything.
