Make tags editable and easily referenced for present and future contacts
Say for example I have 250 contacts in base that I'm regularly working with and I have attached various tags related to the contacts like (envelopes ) to 50 of those contacts. The ability to make an edit that would translate over to all contacts affiliated with that tag I believe would be a nice improvement. (envelopes - Envelopes)
Finally have the ability to click and choose from a list of previously created tags to associate with your contact instead of having to always type it out manually.
These are my ideas for interface improvements.

automatically add sets of custom fields and tasks based on a tag
Our sales team's workflow changes quite a bit depending on what type of product/service the client is interested in.
It would be really helpful for our sales reps if adding a tag to a record could automatically add a set of tasks to a deal/contact as well as a set of customized fields to be filled in.

Different color Pins for particular tags
I would like to be able to assign a color to a tag, so that when I view it on the map I have different color pins to represent the different tags.

Tags for Companies associate with contacts
It would be great if you could tag a company which would also be associated with the contacts. It would be good for filtering by tag and exporting all the contacts associated with the company to mail chimp.
Currently you have to tag both the company and each individual contact associated with the company. This is extremely time consuming for something so easy.
This could also be done with a custom field If implemented.

Allow tags to be added to Notes
Please consider adding tags to Notes and the ability to search all Notes by tag.

Tagging from leads page
Be able to quickly add a tag to a lead or contact without having to 'Edit', then scroll down, then save. You should be able to enter directly from the first page.

Tag Management - make it easier to manage tags across all record types
The Tag management area could be vastly improved if it followed the same logic that you're already using for Custom Fields - a check box showing which record type you want that tag to be used in.
I would lay it out initially with four columns (with ability to sort by all columns), and a search box at the top.
The columns would be:
1. Tag Name (with edit/delete) button, and a check box to include this tag in all record types
2. Company
3. Contact

Tag-visibility under Contact name - Contacts list view
It would be helpful to see individual tag assignments under the Contact name. This would allow added visibility following a tag filter. Currently, the only information visible is email and phone when hovering. It would be helpful if assigned tags were visible at all times.
