Exclude filter
A filter that brings up contacts and EXCLUDES the contacts you do not want (either by the owner or by tag or both).
This would assist greatly in setting up new consultant accounts and allocating contacts to consultants making sure that existing consultants did not lose their contacts in the process.

Have The Ability To Make Fields Mandatory
Both built in and custom fields should have the ability to be set as mandatory - meaning the record can't be saved without it being completed.

Voicemail Drop
It would be great to have the ability to pre-record a voicemail message. Then if you get the voicemail while dialing a lead, you could be prompted with the ability to do a 'voicemail drop'. Allowing you to add that pre-recorded voicemail automatically to the call -> but hanging up your current call then going down the call list again.

Being able to select multiple entries in a Custom Field > Dropdown
When I create a 'Custom Field' for contacts and select 'Dropdown' as the type, I am able to add various 'Choices'.
Then when I create or edit a contact and go to the dropdown, I am able to select one of these choices. However, I am able to select only one choice, where I would like to be able to select multiple.
Imagine my 'Custom Field' is "Type of goods sold" and my 'Choices' are "Bread" "Drinks" "Eggs" and "Meat". At this moment, I can select "Bread" and it will show up as 'Type of goods sold - Bread' on…

Managers/Users can view other Users Base Calendar
Currently Base allows users to share a calender by using Google calendar. It would be useful if managers/users were able to open their Base calendar and view appointments of other users.
Each user Base calendar would have their own assigned colour. Appointment details would further highlight the owner of an appointment.

Provide an arrow to move to next or prior Contact, Deal, or Lead card.
Ability to open a Contact and hit an arrow to move forward or backward to the next or prior contact. Every time I hit the "back" button I have to start back at the first Contact. This is cumbersome when working with contact files at the end of the alphabet.

Extend automated tasks for leads. Right now it is limited to company, contacts and deals.

Manually ordering additional Employees or Colleagues on Company and Contact Cards
Being able to vertically list or alter the order and group additional employees / colleagues on company and contact cards would be an extremely valuable tool. (This would also remove the need for the 'more' button to unhide and be able to see additional contacts at the same firm).
Further, being able to color code or prioritize contacts would also be great! Thanks for your considerations!

Need a better text editor for notes and the like
The current web editor is extremely basic, to say the least.
Would be good to have at least a RTF editor.

Viewing Other Users Communication for Smart List
I need to see when and how leads/contacts were last contacted by ANYBODY in my organization, not just myself. I would like to be able to see that in the Communication Smart List filter.

Managers create/view/edit appointments for users
Currently when you create an appointment in Base, it is automatically assigned to the creator and you cannot change ownership.
It would be much easier if the ownership of an appointment was something that could be changed after creation. Also, it would highly useful if managers were able to create appointments associated to leads/customers for individual users. Again, this is a feature that could reflected in the mobile applications to make usability easier for managers on the go.

Time zone information
When I pull up a contact in order to make a call, it would be nice to know what time it is in their timezone. I live on the east coast. I'm up before most of my domestic clients, who are spread across the country.
If you could tell me what time it is in their timezone, that would help me adjust my calls to increase contact rate.

Ability to create folders
Storing docs in Base under a contact is awesome. The problem is when someone like myself may have 50 docs associated with a contact. Solution: enable users to create folders for organizing docs within Base.

Undo Feature/Button
Ever accidentally clicked the little 'x' on one of your tags? only to wipe out a whole category you used for sorting..?
Or deleted a Deal not realizing all the notes you associated with it are gone. Some of those note would have been useful to keep.. :(
An UNDO Button would solve all this !
An "oh my &^%" I wish I'd read that warning before I pressed "ok" Button. Undo Feature is essential Ctrl+Z with Base already ! :)

Edit Factfind without having to go into the "Edit" menu
When in a lead/contact screen. The information displayed on the left hand side is always going to have to be updated. It would make working quicker if the details could be updated without having to click into the "Edit" menu (button next to the client name). Maybe have something like the Smart Lists now have where you can click to edit a field there and then.

Conditional custom fields
It would be great if custom fields could appear conditionally. For instance, have a dropdown appear only if a radio button is checked to 'yes'.

filter leads & contacts via non custom fields like phone number
In order to filter by phone number or email address now I have to create a duplicate custom field, make it filterable and import data to that column, an difficult task.
It would be nice to be able to filter your contacts by the NON custom field values.
For example, if I want to look up a certain lead or contact by their phone number or email address before I create a duplicate lead or contact, it would be nice to be able to filter by either of those values.
I just found out that to really make this work…
